Dr. Rebecca Novac graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon. Her journey into veterinary medicine began right here at Timberlea Veterinary Clinic, where she volunteered as a college student. Now, she’s proud to be back—this time as a veterinarian! With a deep love for all animals, she has a special soft spot for both cats and cows—shaped by years of working with a cat rescue and in the dairy industry (where a cow named Tequila stole her heart!).
Rebecca’s veterinary interests include shelter medicine, community outreach, and the powerful role of the human-animal bond in wellness and care. She has fostered over 150 cats and shares her home with two beloved rescue kitties, Pudge and Freddie.
Rebecca’s interests also extend to wildlife work; she has contributed to wildlife conservation efforts with Wildlife Preservation Canada and Parks Canada, working hands-on with turtles and bison.
Outside of the clinic, you can find Rebecca hiking, paddle boarding, or relaxing at the lake.
