Dr. Patrick Farias Veterinarian

Originally from Montreal, Dr. Patrick Farias has always had a deep passion for animals, adventure, and the natural world. Inspired from a young age by his childhood idol, Steve Irwin, he dreamed of helping protect wildlife and preserve the natural habitats where animals live. After completing his undergraduate degree at McGill University, Patrick participated in conservation projects abroad. While volunteering in the Bahamas alongside Dr. Grant, a veterinarian who ran a small spay and neuter clinic, Patrick discovered that veterinary medicine would allow him to combine his passion for animals with his desire to make a positive difference in their lives.

Patrick went on to receive a full scholarship to study in the United States, where he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Mississippi State University. During veterinary school, he completed several externships across the United States, including at ranches in Wyoming and Nebraska, as well as in the Bahamas, where he returned to work alongside Dr. Grant.

Although wildlife and conservation remain close to Patrick’s heart, he discovered another passion: helping people and the animals who hold such an important place in their families. He chose to focus his career on small animal medicine so he could build lasting relationships with clients and contribute to the well-being of their beloved pets.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Patrick is passionate about athletics and staying active. A two-sport collegiate athlete, he also had the opportunity to represent Canada internationally in skeleton, a winter Olympic sport. He enjoys training, competing, and travelling with his wife, Patrycja, who shares his love of fitness, animals, and exploring the world.

Dr. Patrick looks forward to getting to know you and your furry family members. He is committed to providing compassionate, practical, and individualized care to every patient and family, helping pets live happy, healthy lives.
